1981 Can-Am MX6 400 For Sale – mint condition

All original with title and oem pipe in hand. My uncle bought this new in 81, it has possibly the original front and only a second rear tire on. Im the first to change the gearbox oil i saved a sample after replacing it with RP synchromax. Everything but the rear fender is original and an exhaust spring (which should be replaced with a stronger spring). Also pictured is where a rubber exhaust pipe mount should be. I bought some grips but didnt have the heart to replace the originals [I got the pictures of the grips also included in my asking price]the bike is here in Uttah

Fork seals are shot, the shocks are OHLIN and were rebuilt in 2001 or so. Currently the shocks are not leaking and the bumpers are not cracking. Let the pictures speak, this is a great running original bike. Legend says the original carbs did not have enough top end for these bikes so mikuni issued a power jet be installed. This is installed and working very well you feel it kick in hard.

$4500 obo, also considering trade for a mid sized family vehicle, crossover sized or a large cab Chevy truck possibly.
